Monroe Earns First Career GPAC and NAIA Defender of the Week Honor
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played October 10-16, 2022. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. Monroe also earned the NAIA National Defender of the week as well for the first time in her career.

Defender – Amani Monroe, Hastings College (Middle)
Amani Monroe of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Monroe, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was a menace to opposing teams at the net and this past week. She finished with a total of 17 blocks (2.43/set) but it was her 11 total block performance against Mount Marty (nine block assists and two solo blocks) that helped the Broncos to a conference win.
