Four Broncos Honored as Scholar-Athletes
SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The NAIA has announced that 178 Division II Women's Basketball student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Davenport (Mich.), Morningside (Iowa), Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), Rochester (Mich.), Saint Mary (Kan.) and Tennessee Wesleyan tied for the lead amongst all institutions with five honorees.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
The four Broncos named to the 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are Cami Bruckman, Frankie Peterson, Tanasia Uhrig and Laurel Zwiener.
