Lancers Hot Shooting to Much for Broncos
Yankton, SD - The Hastings College Women's Basketball Team could not slow down the hot shooting Mount Marty Lancers as the Broncos fell 80-67 on Saturday afternoon.
April Winne and the Lancers started the game hot and never slowed down shooting better than 56 percent from the floor to just 35 percent for the Broncos.
Winne led all scorers with 24 points hitting on 6-9 from the floor but also nailed 12-15 free throws helping MMC to 5-4 in conference play.
Hastings was led by Cami Bruckman as she had another solid night finishing with 20 points on 6-12 shooting. Laurel Zwiener finished the game with 11.
With the loss Hastings falls to 9-10 (4-5) on the season and will have its hands full Tuesday night Jan. 8 as they will travel to Seward, NE to take on NAIA No. 1 Concordia with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. Concordia fell for the first time this season Saturday to Dordt in double overtime 96-86.
