Moundbuilders Pull Away From Broncos in 2nd Half
Winfield, KS - The Hastings College Women's Basketball Team fell below .500 after falling to NAIA No. 21 Southwestern College (KS) 76-58 on Saturday afternoon.
In a game that saw the Broncos only trailing by six points at halftime, Hastings could not find its shot in the second half hitting on just 24 percent from the floor after hitting nearly 42 percent in the first half.
Cami Bruckman led all scorers with 17 points on 6-13 shooting and 2-4 behind the three-point line. Kaitlin Tennyson led the Moundbuilders with 16 points.
With the loss, Hastings falls to 8-9 (3-4) and will be looking to get back on track as they will play host to Dordt Wednesday Jan. 2 with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
