Broncos Fall to Northwestern 77-45
Orange City, IA - The Hastings College Women's Basketball Team ran into a Northwestern squad that seemed to do nothing wrong except for turn the ball over more then the Broncos as the Red Raiders defeated Hastings 77-45 on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos may have forced 25 turnovers compared to their 19 but Northwestern owned every other facet of the game. Hastings was only able to connect on just over 23 percent from the floor connecting on only 16 shots out of 69 attempts.
Northwestern came out on fire shooting better then 56 percent in the first half and improved on that mark in the second hitting on 60 percent. The Red Raiders were led by Karen Hutson as she finished with 18 points to lead all scorers.
Cami Bruckman led the Broncos with nine points as Sierra Williamson finished with eight.
With the loss Hastings falls to 7-7 (3-4) and will look to get back in the win column as the Broncos will be in action Monday December 17 as they travel to Hilsboro, KS to take on Tabor College with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
