Broncos hold on to defeat John Brown
Salina, KS - The Hastings College Women's Basketball Team held on for a 51-50 victory over John Brown on Saturday afternoon.
The game came down to a loose ball foul that went against Hastings and put John Brown on the line for two shots with :02 remaining and Hastings up by one. Both free throws went long as the Broncos pulled down the rebound and the win.
Tanasia Uhrig brought her A game hitting 6-11 from the floor and 3-5 from behind the arc finishing with a game high 19 points.
With the win, Hastings improves to 2-3 on the year. The Broncos will be in action again next Saturday Nov. 17 as they will begin GPAC play at home against Morningside with tipoff set for 2:00 p.m.
