Broncos Complete Season Sweep of Doane
Crete, NE - The Hastings College Women's basketball team completed the season sweep of Doane defeating the Tigers 59-55 on Wednesday night.
Hastings overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat Doane on the road. The Broncos received 20 points and 8 rebounds from Cami Bruckman. Laurel Zwiener came off the bench to add 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Doane received 14 points from Brittany Luettel as he went 3-of-5 from behind the arc. Hannah Dostal added 13 points and Cali Bellar contributed 10 points for the Tigers.
With the win Hastings improves to 11-11 (6-6) on the season and will look to improve on this mark as the Broncos will be back in action Saturday Jan. 19 as they will travel to Sioux City, IA to take on NAIA No. 5 Briar Cliff with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
