DWU drops hastings 75-53
Mitchell, SD - The Hastings College Women's Basketball Team could not get the three-point shot going as Dakota Wesleyan defeated Hastings 75-53 on Saturday afternoon at the Corn Palace.
Hastings only trailed by five heading into the second half but then their shooting disappeared in the second half making only 7-34 from the floor including 1-8 behind the three-point line.
Melissa Thompson was the only Bronco to score in double figures as she finished with 10 points. Frankie Peterson finished with nine points on the afternoon.
Kim Johnson finished with a game high 23 points for the Tigers.
With the loss, Hastings falls to 6-5 (2-2) and will be looking to get back on track as they will be back in action Wednesday December 5 as they will travel to Nebraska Wesleyan with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
