Hastings, NE – The Hastings College women’s basketball ran into NAIA No. 1 Dordt as the Lady Broncos fell 95-56 on Saturday afternoon inside Lynn Farrell Arena.

Hastings, NE – The Hastings College women's basketball ran into NAIA No. 1 Dordt as the Lady Broncos fell 95-56 on Saturday afternoon inside Lynn Farrell Arena.
Dordt wasted little time showing why they are ranked No. 1 opening up a 29-4 lead and never looked back.
Alyssa Baker was the lone player to score in double figures for the Lady Broncos with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting while Mariyah Avila finished with seven with Bailey Kissinger and Alexis Tapia finishing with six each.
Hastings finished the game shooting 32.2 percent (19-for-59) while Dordt shot 57.1 percent (36-for-63).
The Defenders also owned the rebounding edge 51-to-20 and also points in the paint 46-to-14.
Hastings did force 19 Dordt turnovers compared to 14 for the Lady Broncos.
Hastings falls to 8-9 (4-7) on the year and will be back in action Wednesday Jan. 24 as College of Saint Mary comes to town with tipoff set for 6:00 pm inside Lynn Farrell Arena.
