Men's Basketball Downed by Morningside
Sioux City, IA - The Hastings College men's basketball team just can't seem to get above .500 as the Broncos fell to Morningside 90-78 on Saturday afternoon.
With HC and Morningside shooing nearly the same from the floor with Hastings connecting on 45 percent of its shots while the Mustangs made 48 percent of its shots.
The major difference in this game was Morningside connecting on 16 3-pointers while Hastings made 11.
The Mustangs went 16-for-33 while Hastings was 11-for-23 from behind the arc.
Rich Williams (SR/Scottsbluff, NE) led the way for the Broncos with 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 3-for-5 from downtown. Jake Hansen (JR/Omaha, NE) and Bart Hiscock (FR/Bennington, NE) added 15 points while Connor Musiel (JR/Lincoln, NE) finished with 14 points.
Brody Egger led all scorers with a game high 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 5-of-10 from behind the arc.
Hastings is now 12-13 (7-8) on the year and will be back in action Saturday Feb. 11 hitting the road to take on Mount Marty with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m. in Yankton, SD.
