Men's Basketball Goes Cold in Loss to McPherson
Hastings - The Hastings College men's basketball team just could not find the groove it was looking for from an offensive standpoint in its 81-75 loss to McPherson on Saturday night in Lynn Farrell Arena.
Hastings was able to connect on 38 percent of its shots but from behind the arc was a different story. HC shot just 17 percent including going 1-for-17 in the second half.
Trey Moore (SR/Omaha, NE) and Bart Hiscock (FR/Bennington, NE) led the Bronco offense with 13 points each as Hiscock went 4-for-8 from the floor and Moore was 6-of-16. Kevin Harkins (JR/Omaha, NE) added 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting to go along with his nine rebounds.
McPherson was led by DeAndre Henson as he led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
Jake Hansen (JR/Omaha, NE) did pull down a career high 13 rebounds but only managed five points.
The Broncos are now 3-5 (1-1) on the season and will be back in action Saturday Nov. 26 as No. 10 Tabor comes to town with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. in Lynn Farrell Arena.
