Men's Basketball Adds Ierna from Clearwater, Florida
The Hastings College men's basketball team continued to add strength to its depth chart with the addition of Ryan Ierna out of Florida to its 2016 signing class.
Ierna, a 6-5 forward out of Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Florida signed with the Hastings College Broncos on Clearwater Beach on June 21, 2016. Ryan led Clearwater High School to their best season in six years with a 20-6 record and a Pinellas County Athletic Conference Championship (PCAC). Ryan averaged 11 points per game, 8 rebounds per game, 2 assists per game, and 3 blocks per game. He was ranked 2nd in the state in class 6A in blocks per game. He was voted into the PCAC All-Star Game. Ryan was also 1st team All Conference, 1st team All County, and 2nd team All Tampa Bay. Ryan finish high school with a 4.0 GPA and plans on pursuing degrees in Engineering and Marketing.
