Sioux City, IA – The Hastings College men's soccer team was extremely efficient in its 4-0 win over Morningside on Wednesday night.
The Broncos managed just eight total shots with seven of them being on target but still managed to score four goals and it didn't take long at all for Hastings to find the back of the net.
In just the first minute, Kai Knuchel found David Panter as he put his shot away for his eighth goal of the season for the early 1-0 lead.
Shortly after being subbed into the match, Lukas Goetz would make his presence felt as Paul Obrusnik sent a ball into the box where Goetz got just enough on the ball to get it past keeper Bjarne Huth for his fourth goal of the season and the 2-0 lead in the 29th minute.
The Broncos carried that lead into the final 20 minutes of the contest until Heitor Olivera connected with Panter for his ninth goal of the season and the 3-0 lead.
Hastings added one more when Olivera and Knuchel finished up the scoring in the 78th minute as Hastings finished up one of its most efficient nights on the pitch.
Morningside finished with 10 shots with four of them being on frame. Brendan Dally was able to save all four to collect his third shutout of the season.
The Broncos improve to 6-1 (3-0) on the year and will be back in action Saturday Oct. 1 as Briar Cliff comes to town with kickoff set for 8:00 pm on Lloyd Wilson Field.
