Hastings would go on to dominate the first half of play against the Tigers but through the first 27 minutes, Hastings closest point to scoring a goal was when Jackson Brown ripped a shot off the cross bar in the 11th minute.
But in the 28th minute, the Broncos finally broke through when David Panter found Heitor Olivera to make it 1-0.
Hastings would get a total of nine shots in the first half but held just the 1-0 lead even after a Panter shot in the 45th minute bounced off the post.
The pressure would stay constant in the second half and a penalty on DWU in the 50th minute allowed Lukas Goetz to put away the penalty kick for the 2-0 lead.
Less than five minutes later, Kai Knuchel would fit pay dirt for the 3-0 lead but then some pushing and shoving happened as it took the refs and coaches some time to get everyone settled down. Once the dust settled, three yellow cards were issued but no ejections.
The lead would increase to 4-0 when Brown connected with Jair Arita for his first goal of the season in the 66th minute.
Sandro Rubio would also get his first goal of the year in the 72nd minute off the pass from Ryan Lewis. Hastings rounded out the scoring in the 82nd minute when Paul Obrusnik found Panter to make it 6-0.
