Wichita, KS – The Hastings College women's track and field team competed down at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State and here are the results.
Kiara Anderson went on to take the top spot in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.20m which is an "A" standard national qualifying mark. Anderson would finish fourth in the discus with a throw of 46.36m which is also an "A" standard national qualifying mark and her best mark of the year thus far. Anderson would go on to place fifth in the shot put with a toss of 13.27m which is a "B" standard national qualifying mark and she was to top NAIA competitor in the event.
Veronica Pinkerton went on to place eighth in the 800m run in a time of 2:16.
Nisa Thomas ran her best time of the year in the 100m hurdles as she finished sixth in an "A" standard national qualifying mark of 14:18. Thomas was the top finishing NAIA athlete at the meet. She currently is ranked 10 in the NAIA.
Jaida Rowe went on to finish fifth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:05.
Hastings will now turn its attention to the Kansas Relays and the Jim Dutcher Memorial meets coming p Apr. 19-20.
