Results from the Concordia Invite
Seward, NE – The Hastings College women’s track and field team was back in action competing in the Concordia Invitational hosted by Concordia University and here are the results from Friday.
Seward, NE – The Hastings College women's track and field team was back in action competing in the Concordia Invitational hosted by Concordia University and here are the results from Friday.
Kiara Anderson brought home first place in the discus throw with a toss of 47.62m which is an "A" standard national qualifying mark. Anderson went on to finish second in the hammer throw with a mark of 56.42m which is also an "A" standard national qualifying mark. Anderson finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 14.26m.
Hastings went on to sweep the 5000m race walk as Ava Brackhan finished first in a time of 31:48. Baylee Evarts finished second in a time of 31:35 while Carley Davis placed third in a time of 34:50.
In the 400m hurdles Jaida Rowe finished third in a time of 1:02.
The 4x800m relay team consisting of Cecilia Velarde, Veronica Pinkerton, Zailee Poulson and Cynthia Chaparro Belloc placed second in a time of 10:25.
The 4x100m relay team consisting of Rhys Maxey, Rowe, Myricle Moffett and Nisa Thomas finished fourth in a time of 48.20.
Trinity Doublin went on to finish fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.22m.
In the 100m dash Moffett placed eighth in a time of 12.57.
In the 400m dash Pinkerton placed eighth in a time of 58.87.
Hastings will be back in action Apr. 12-13 taking part in the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State down in Wichita, KS.
