Hastings Scores Five Gold Medals at Charlie Foster Classic
Kearney, NE – The Hastings College women’s track and field team was in action on Friday competing in the Charlie Foster Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney and here are the results.
Kearney, NE – The Hastings College women's track and field team was in action on Friday competing in the Charlie Foster Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney and here are the results.
Nisa Thomas finished in first place in the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.72 which is an "A" standard national qualifying time. Rhys Maxey finished fourth in a time of 9.54.
Elizabeth Baade brought home first place in the 3000m run in a time of 11:23. Danie Hoer finished sixth in a time of 12:07 while Jillian Rants placed eighth in a time of 12:32.
Kiara Anderson won the weight throw with a mark of 16.90m which is an "A" standard national qualifying throw. Asia Tyler finished second with an "A" standard national qualifying throw of 16.78m
Anderson won the shot put with a "B" standard national qualifying throw of 13.44m. Tyler finished third with a mark of 12.62m.
The 4x400m relay team brought home first place in a time of 3:59 which in an "A" standard national qualifying time. The team consists of Rhys Maxey, Nisa Thomas, Myricle Moffett and Veronica Pinkerton.
In the high jump Zailee Poulson finished third with a mark of 1.62m.
Myricle Moffett finished third in the 60m dash in a time of 7.94. She also finished third in the 200m dash in a time of 27.41.
Veronica Pinkerton finished third in the 800m run in a time of 2:16 which in an "A" standard national qualifying time. Cecilia Velarde finished sixth in a time of 2:31.
Trinity Doublin finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.26m while Ikea Cuff placed fifth with a mark of 10.04m.
In the long jump Doublin finished sixth with a leap of 4.64m while Cuff finished seventh with a leap of 4.57m.
Hastings will now focus its attention on the Fred Beile Classic coming up Saturday Feb. 3 hosted by Doane University in Crete, NE.
