Women's Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at UNK

Nisa Thomas brought home the gold in the 60 hurdles in a time of 8.82, Jaida Rowe placed second in a time of 9.04 which matches her time from last year as the sixth fastest in school history.
Kiara Anderson brought home gold in the shot put with an 'A' Standard throw of 13.57m which is the 10th best mark in school history. Asia Tyler finished second with a mark of 12.37m while Kylee Hasselmann placed seventh with a toss of 10.47m.
Anderson also brought home gold in the weight throw with a throw of 18.15m which is the third best throw in school history.
The 4x400m relay team brought home the gold in a time of 4:04 just edging out Nebraska-Kearney by 0.60.
In the 60m dash Myricle Moffett finished second in a time of 7.96. Moffett also finished second in the 200m dash in a time of 27.97 while Michaela Harris finished fourth in a time of 30.51.
Veronica Pinkerton placed second in the 600 yard run in a time of 1:29 while Zailee Poulson finished fifth in a time of 1:39.
In the 3000m run Elizabeth Baade finished second in a time of 11:58 while Ava Brackhan finished third in a time of 12:37
Poulson would go on to finish fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.57m.
Trinity Doublin went on to finish second in the triple jump with a leap of 10.85m while Ikea Cuff finished fourth with a mark of 10.29m. Doublin went on to finish sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.00m.
Hastings will take the rest of the year off and will be back in action Jan. 13 taking part in the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic.
