Women's Track and Field Brings Home 3 All-Americans; Place 16th
Brookings, SD - The Hastings College women?s track and field team was in action this past weekend competing at the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships where the Lady Broncos finished 16thoverall.
Brookings, SD - The Hastings College women's track and field team was in action this past weekend competing at the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships where the Lady Broncos finished 16thoverall.
Kiara Anderson went on to finish second in the weight throw with a mark of 19.32m which earned her All-American honors. Asia Tyler finished third with a toss of 18.21m which also earned her All-American honors. Anderson also earned All-American honors in the shot put by finishing eighth with a throw of 13.93m. Tyler finished 16th with a mark of 12.58m.
The 4x400m relay team consisting of Rhys Maxey, Veronica Pinkerton, Jaida Rowe and Nisa Thomas set the school record in a time of 3:54.56. The team would go on to finish 13th at the meet.
Thomas finished 11th in the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.61 while Rowe finishes 34th in a time of 9.18
Pinkerton would finished 15th in the 800m run in a time of 2:19
Tristyn DiPentino finished 15th in the 3000m race walk in a time of 17:36.
The indoor season comes to a close as HC will now get ready for the outdoor season set to begin Saturday Mar. 30 at the Central Nebraska Challenge hosted by Hastings and Nebraska-Kearney out in Kearney, NE.
