Anderson Wins Twice as Track and Field Competed in Kearney
Kearney, NE – The Hastings College women’s track and field team was in action on Saturday competing at the Central Nebraska Challenge and here are the results.

In the Invitational hammer, Kiara Anderson brought home gold with a toss of 53.81m which is an A"A standard national qualifying mark. Asia Tyler went on to place fifth with a mark fo 43.63m. Kylee Hasselmann placed seventh in the non-invitational hammer throw with a toss of 40.27m. Tyler would go on to finish fifth in the international shot put with a mark of 12.30m while Anderson finished seventh with a mark of 12.11m
Anderson then went on to win the Invitational Discus with a mark of 44.08m which is also an "A" standard national qualifying mark.
Elizabeth Baade led the way in the 5000m run by finishing fourth in a time of 20:02 while Shania Santos finished fifth in a time of 20:39.
Veronica Pinkerton went on to place fifth in the 800m run in a time of 2:22.
Zailee Poulson went on to finish fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.55m.
Trinity Doublin finished sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.42m and then finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.95m.
Rhys Maxey went on to finish eighth in the 400m dash in a time of 59.64.
Hastings will now focus on the Concordia Outdoor Invite set to begin Friday Apr. 5 in Seward, NE.
