Women's Tennis Results Versus Midland

(Hastings, NE) – Taking on the Midland Warriors for the first time since the 2023-24 season, the Broncos lost 5-2.
Hastings won #1 doubles easily, as juniors Josline Carter and Victoria Harris wrapped up the match quickly, 6-0. Midland won at #2 and #3 doubles however, winning 6-1 and 6-2 to secure the doubles point.
Carter continued her dominance in singles, winning 6-1, 6-0 at #1 singles. Harris won her first set, 6-4, before Midland tied the match at one set all by winning 6-4 in the second set. Down 5-2, Harris rallied to get within 5-4, but the Warriors took the final game to win, 6-4.
Midland secured a 6-3, 6-0 win at #3 singles to take a 3-1 lead. Sophomore Cara Ansbach made quick work to win the first set at #4 singles, 6-3, then pulled out a 7-5 second set victory. The Warriors lost only one game at #5 and #6 singles combined, defeating the Broncos 5-2.
