Women's Tennis Defeats Tabor, 6-1
(Lexington, NE) – The women’s tennis team took care of business on Wednesday, sweeping the doubles point and won five singles matches in the 6-1 win.
(Lexington, NE) – The women's tennis team took care of business on Wednesday, sweeping the doubles point and won five singles matches in the 6-1 win.
Juniors Josline Carter and Victoria Harris won 6-1 at #1 doubles, as did junior Abby Harveson and sophomore Kayleigh Cetak at #3 doubles. The Broncos completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 victory by sophomores Lexi Benson and Cara Ansbach at #2 doubles to take a 1-0 lead.
Carter won her #1 singles match 6-2, 6-2, but Tabor was able to get a 6-4, 6-3 win at #2 singles. Hastings won the other four singles matches, as Harris picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at #3 singles and senior Paige Willcoxon took the #4 singles match, 6-0, 6-2. Benson won 6-3, 6-0 at #5 singles and Harveson earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 singles.
Up next, Hastings will host Fort Hays State on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 12pm.
