(Sioux City, Iowa) - The 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball All-Conference team has been announced after a vote of league coaches. This year’s GPAC All-Conference Team consists of a first-team, second-team, and an honorable mention list.

Hastings, NE – The Hastings College softball team picked up a split with Jamestown on Saturday afternoon winning game one 11-3 (6 innings) before losing game two 16-9. With that split, Hastings has clinched a spot in the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament for the first time since the 2017 season.
Hastings, NE – The Hastings College softball took a bit of time to get its bats going but once they did, the Lady Broncos easily disposed of Dakota Wesleyan 5-2 in game one and 14-6 (6 innings) in game two on a cool and windy Friday afternoon at the Smith Softball Complex.

Sioux Center, IA – The Hastings College softball team started its day thinking it was going to play two games outside but mother nature had different plans pushing storms through the area. Since they were at Dordt, the Defenders built a new indoor facility called the American State Bank Sports Complex where Dordt won game one 4-2 before Hastings came back to win game two 5-4 in 10 innings.

Peru, NE – The Hastings College softball team picked up a split with Peru St. on Wednesday dropping game one 4-1 before winning game two 7-1.
Hastings, NE – The Hastings College softball team had quite the up and down day losing game one 10-0 (5 innings) before hanging on for dear life in game two 9-8 against Doane on Saturday afternoon out at the Smith Softball Complex.
Omaha, NE – The Hastings College softball team recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2014 with its 1-0 and 4-0 doubleheader wins over College of Saint Mary on Wednesday afternoon. Back in 2014, Hastings recorded three straight shutouts by beating York 12-0 and 10-0 and then defeated Doane 3-0 before the streak ended.
North Newton, KS – The Hastings College softball team ran into a tough Benedictine squad losing game one 8-5 before dropping game two 8-0 on Saturday.
