Mandelko Joins HC Bronco Football as Secondary Coach
(Hastings, Neb.) – After serving as a graduate assistant for the Nebraska Cornhusker Football team, Jacob Mandelko will become secondary coach for the Hastings College Bronco Football. While working for the Huskers, the former University of Nebraska-Kearney safety assisted defensive backs with game and technical preparations, compiled scouting reports and reading opponents' personnel groupings.
Head Coach Tony Harper knows the experience Coach Mandelko brings will only help the team get better, "We are so excited to have a coach that has experience coming from the highest level of this profession," Harper continues. "Having the opportunity to add a Nebraska native to our staff who was an All-American during his playing days only makes us a stronger staff."
Mandelko graduated from UNK in 2009 with a bachelor of science in sports administration. As a Loper, he earned NCAA Division II All-American honors and served as team captain in 2009.
