Bax Garners Conference Defensive Player of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played October 15-21, 2017. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2017-2018 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Defender – Jill Bax, Hastings College (Defensive Specialist)
Jill Bax of Hastings is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Bax, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, led the Bronco back line with over five digs per set in helping Hastings in a pair of top-20 victories last week. She totaled 22 digs while helping the Broncos erase a 2-0 deficit against No. 6 Dordt, coming back to win the match 3-2.
