Results from Doane Invite
(Crete, NE) - The men's and women’s track and field team went to Doane University to compete at the Doane Invite on Tuesday.
(Crete, NE) - The men's and women's track and field team went to Doane University to compete at the Doane Invite on Tuesday.
Junior Tyler Salter took first place in the men's 1500m run with a time of 4:05.85. In the men's discus throw, freshman Jorge Vazquez took 11th place with a throw of 38.80m. Senior Payton Lane placed 12th (38.16) and sophomore Titus Glanz took 13th place (35.08m).
Junior Edward Pallotto took second place in the men's javelin with a 48.19m throw. In the women's hammer throw, junior Kylee Hasselmann placed fourth with 41.53m.
In the men's hammer throw, Lane took ninth place with a throw of 42.82m. Also placing in the event was freshman Trey Parriott, who got 16th (39.36), Pallotto placed 17th (39.03), and Glanz placed 19th (35.70m).
Parriott placed eighth in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.02m. Also placing in the event was Glanz with 10.84m throw placing him in 13th.
Next, the Broncos are set to host the Hastings Invite on Saturday, April 12th. The meet will take place at the Jack Osborne Track Complex at 10am.
