Women's Indoor Season Resumes at Doane
(Crete, NE) – The women’s indoor track and field team made their 2025 debut at the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on Saturday.

Senior Zailee Poulson led the way in the field events for the Broncos, winning the high jump with a B-Standard leap of 5'05.00". Junior Melissa Hines also performed well in the high jump, finishing third with a 5'01.00" jump.
Junior Trinity Doublin finished in third place in the triple jump (34'05.50"). Freshman Kamerin Turner placed sixth in the long jump, finishing with a best jump of 15'09.75".
Senior Cynthia Chaparro-Belloc raced her way to a second-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:55.61. Fellow senior Cecilia Velarde placed third in the 600m run, ending with a time of 1:44.74.
Senior Shania Santos competed in the 1000m and took 4th (3:30.57), while sophomore Whitney Cure was sixth (3:41.51). Junior Ava Brackhan finished sixth in the 3000m run with a time of 13:13.75.
Junior Kathryn Columbus qualified and competed in the 60m hurdles, taking seventh in the event (11.19). Turner also qualified and competed in the 60m dash finals and placed eighth (8.45).
In the weight throw, junior Kylee Hasselmann finished fifth with a top throw of 49'08.25".
Up next, Hastings will travel to Seward, NE to compete in the Concordia Polar Dog Invite at 12pm.
