Men's Wrestling Falls to #16 Concordia, 32-18
(Seward, NE) – Competing in their first conference dual of the season, the Broncos took three of the first five bouts at #16 Concordia, before falling 32-18 on Thursday night.

Freshman Aidan Rodriguez started off the night with a pin at 125 just over a minute-and-a-half into his bout. Junior Justin Rodriguez followed him up with a 5-1 decision win at 133 to put Hastings up 9-0.
Concordia got on the board with a pin at 141 and a forfeit win at 149 to take a 12-9 lead. Sophomore Jordan Tobias held a 5-4 lead at 157 in the third period and then pinned his opponent to put Hastings back up, 15-12.
The 165 and 174 bouts went to the Bulldogs on major decisions, then Concordia also won by fall at 184 and 197 to go up 32-15. Sophomore Koen Mattern won the battle at 285, winning on an 11-6 decision, as Concordia took the win, 32-18.
Up next, Hastings will wrestle on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Grand View Open in Grimes, IA, beginning at 9am.
