(Wichita, KS) – Hastings sent three Broncos to the National Championships, as junior Justin Rodriguez, sophomore Jordan Tobias, and sophomore Koen Mattern wrestled at the best-of-the-best event. Mattern defeated three wrestlers at 285 seeded higher than him, including a familiar foe at the #1-seed in the semifinal, to reach the final, where he was pinned at the end of the first period. His runner-up finish is tied for the best in school history.

(Sioux City, IA) – The men’s wrestling team traveled to Sioux City, IA to compete in the first GPAC Duals of the season. Hastings lost 41-16 to Northwestern in the first dual, then fell 30-19 to Briar Cliff in their second dual.
(Seward, NE) – Competing in their first conference dual of the season, the Broncos took three of the first five bouts at #16 Concordia, before falling 32-18 on Thursday night.
(Atchison, KS) – Men’s wrestling had a busy Friday and Saturday in Atchison, KS, filled with wrestling at the Loosbrock Duals on Friday, as well as the Service Salute on Saturday. Hastings did well in the Friday duals, going a perfect 3-0.
(Park City, KS) - The Hastings men’s wrestling team competed in their first event of the season at the Falcon Open in Park City, KS on Saturday. Sophomore Koen Mattern at 285 was the lone Hastings wrestler in the elite bracket competition and he went 5-0 to win the event.
(Kansas City, MO) – The preseason NAIA Men's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Rating is here. The Broncos were not ranked as a team, but junior Justin Rodriguez was ranked 11th at 133 and sophomore Koen Mattern was ranked eighth at 285 individually.
