Escalera Wins Again as Men's Golf Places 3rd at Verhille
Iowa City, IA – The Hastings College men’s golf team had one of its best outings of the spring season by finishing third at the Verhille Invitational.
Iowa City, IA – The Hastings College men's golf team had one of its best outings of the spring season by finishing third at the Verhille Invitational.
The Broncos finished with a team score of 609 while Park won the event with a team total of 598.
Gabriel Escalera went on to win the tournament with a one under 143 and he won by four strokes. He fired an even par 72 ono day one and came back to fire a one under 71 to really pull away from the field. This is his fourth win of the year for the Broncos.
Jaydon Rogers finished in a tie for 17th with a two day total of 154 with his best round coming in round two with a 76.
Ryan Burns went on to finish tied for 32nd with a two day total of 158 as his best round was round one with a 78. Cullen Buscher finished tied for 57th with a two day total of 168 as he shot 84 both days.
