Men's Golf Edges Out Eastern Wyoming for Team Title
Hastings, NE – It was a back-and-forth affair for the Hastings College men’s golf team but the Broncos were able to edge out Eastern Wyoming for the team title of the Bronco Invite this past Monday and Tuesday out at Lochland Country Club.
Hastings, NE – It was a back-and-forth affair for the Hastings College men's golf team but the Broncos were able to edge out Eastern Wyoming for the team title of the Bronco Invite this past Monday and Tuesday out at Lochland Country Club.
The Broncos came away with two golfers in the top five as Ryan Burns led the way with a two-day total of 146 placed him in third. He started the tournament with a three over 75 and came back with a one under 71.
Jaydon Rogers also cracked the top five with a two-day total of 147. He opened with an even par 72 then came back on day two with a three over 75 to finish fifth.
Bradley Lavinier was right on his heels finishing tied for sixth with a score of 148. He shot a 75 on day one and came back with a one over 73 on day two.
Gabriel Escalera finished tied for 10th with a 150 as he shot 75 both days while Cullen Buscher finished tied for 16th with a two-day total of 151. He shot 76 on day one and 75 on day two.
Hastings will now take a week off and get prepared for the Nebraska Intercollegiate to be played at Awarii Dunes Oct. 6-7 out in Axtell, NE.
