Men's Golf Kicks Spring Season Off With 2nd Place Finish
Spring Hill, KS – The Hastings College men’s golf team opened the spring schedule with a second place finish at the Shootout at Sycamore Ridge this past Monday and Tuesday. The Broncos finished the tournament +52 which tied them with MidAmerica Nazarene while Ottawa won by finishing +41.
Spring Hill, KS – The Hastings College men's golf team opened the spring schedule with a second place finish at the Shootout at Sycamore Ridge this past Monday and Tuesday. The Broncos finished the tournament +52 which tied them with MidAmerica Nazarene while Ottawa won by finishing +41.
Gabe Escalera led the way for the Broncos by finishing second with a two-day score of +7. His score of 151 was one stroke back of winner Sebastian Camacho of Ottawa. Escalera shot a 74 on day one followed by a 77 on day two.
Ryan Burns finished ninth with a two day score of +13. He shot 77 on day one followed by an 80 on day two to finish at 157. Cullen Buscher finished tied for 16th with a 161 with his best round coming on day two with an 80. Alejandro Prada and Nicolas Silva Riveros both finished tied for 19th with a 162 as Prada's best round was round one with a 78 while Riveros shot 81 both days.
The Broncos will be back in action Mar. 18-19 and will host the Battle at the Dance at Raindance National Resort and Golf out in Windsor, CO.
