Women's Cross Country Top NAIA Finisher at Trojan Invite
Colby, KS – The Hastings College women’s cross country team continues to improve as its gets closer to the conference meet as the Lady Broncos were the top finishing NAIA team at the Trojan Invite on Saturday. Hastings went on to finish fourth while Air Force won the event.
Colby, KS – The Hastings College women's cross country team continues to improve as its gets closer to the conference meet as the Lady Broncos were the top finishing NAIA team at the Trojan Invite on Saturday. Hastings went on to finish fourth while Air Force won the event.
Veronica Pinkerton led the way by finishing 18th in a time of 19:18 while Madison Gerken and Shania Santos were right on her heels placing 20th and 22nd respectively. Gerken finished in a time of 19:22 while Santos finished in a time of 19:24.
Landry Hinkson placed 36th in a time of 20:22 while Jilee Golus finished 38th in a time of 20:28. Elizabeth Baade was right behind in 38th in a time of 20:32 while Makayla Seebohm finished 44th in a time of 20:46.
Hastings finished with a combined score of 115 while Air Force won with a score of 22. The next closest NAIA school was Friends in seventh while Hastings also out paced NCAA DII Chadron State.
Hastings now takes the new few weeks to prepare for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship Meet to be held Saturday Nov. 5 up in Jamestown, ND.
