Women's Track and Field Results from Scott Nisely Memorial

After winning the 60m hurdle prelims, senior Jaida Rowe won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.87. Also in the 60m hurdles, sophomore Lucy Carey and sophomore Ava Reese were in the top four of the prelims, then Carey was second (9.24) and Reese was third (9.40) in the final.
Rowe, Carey, freshman Brooklyn Sutter, and junior Grace Dow teamed up to win the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:09.78, which was 13 seconds ahead of second place.
In the 200m, freshman Gianna Humphrey raced to a second place finish at 27.50, followed closely by freshman Samara Humphrey in third (27.58) and Reese in fourth (28.17).
Reese, G. Humphrey, and S. Humphrey qualified for the 60m finals, with Reese placing second with a time of 8.11, followed closely by G. Humphrey in fourth (8.26) and S. Humphrey in fifth (8.29). In the 1000m, Sutter raced to take fourth with a time of 3:06.92.
Dow placed sixth in the mile, racing through the finish line at 5:34.62, while freshman Sydney Peck was 14th (6:09.08.85). Also competing in the mile, freshman Kate Baker was 23rd (6:27.67) and sophomore Destini Johnson was 27th (7:01.38).
In the 400m, sophomore Kamerin Turner placed sixth at 1:07.59. Freshman Paige Faimon finished eighth in the 800m at 2:39.33. Senior Ava Brackhan earned ninth place in the 3000m, crossing the finish line at 12:27.98.
In the field events, senior Trinity Doublin finished fifth in the triple jump with a top mark of 35'08.00". Freshman Gabryella Bates was 15th (31'02.75") and S. Humphrey was 16th in the event (31'02.50"). In the high jump, Carey finished in ninth place at 4'11.50" and G. Humphrey was 14th (4'07.50"). G. Humphrey and Turner finished tied for 10th at 16'03.75" in the long jump.
In the shot put, freshman Mattilynn Schroeder was 10th (38'06.75") and freshman Katelyn Strampher was 15th (36'00.00"). Strampher was 20th in the weight throw (39'03.25") and Schroeder was 24th (36'11.75").
