Rowe Gets B-Standard in 60m Hurdle Win and Takes First in Long Jump

Senior Jaida Rowe won the 60m hurdles with a B-Standard time of 8.76. Also in the 60m hurdles, sophomore Lucy Carey was second with a time of 9.43 and freshman Klarissa Dowdy was third at 9.64. Sophomore Ava Reese was fourth (9.81) and senior Kathryn Columbus was seventh (11.34).
Rowe later took home second in the 200m at 25.86. Reese was fifth in the event (27.41). Also in the 200m, Carey was sixth (27.56), freshman Samara Humphrey was seventh (27.90), Dowdy was eighth (28.48), and sophomore Kamerin Turner was ninth (29.12).
Junior Grace Dow placed second in the 1000m, racing through the finish line at 3:19.26, while freshman Sydney Peck was eighth (3:36.85). In the 800m, freshman Brooklyn Sutter raced to take second with a time of 2:25.23 and freshman Claire Noerrlinger was fourth (2:57.21).
In the 60m, freshman Gianna Humphrey placed sixth with a time of 8.28, followed closely by S. Humphrey in seventh (8.31) and Turner in eighth (8.61).
In the field events, Rowe also won the long jump with a top leap of 17'06.75". Also in the event, Carey was third at 16'10.00" and Turner finished fifth at 15'10.25". In the high jump, G. Humphrey was third (4'11.50") and senior Melissa Hines was seventh (4'09.50").
Senior Trinity Doublin finished fifth in the triple jump with a top mark of 34'09.00". S. Humphrey was seventh in the event (32'11.00") and freshman Gabryella Bates was ninth (31'04.75").
In the shot put, freshman Mattilynn Schroeder was seventh (36'09.75") and freshman Katelyn Strampher was ninth (34'07.75"). Strampher was eighth in the weight throw (41'05.00") and Schroeder was 11th (34'11.25").
