Shotgun Sports Starts Spring Season by Finishing 6th at Bulldog Invitational
(Seward, NE) – The Hastings College Shotgun Sports team began their spring season at the Concordia Bulldog Invitational on Friday and Saturday, placing sixth out of 13 teams.

In the Men's HOA Individual, junior Chase Wieczorek placed 35th with 261 targets out of a possible 300, taking 30th in the super sporting with 90 targets. Senior Hunter Gilbertson and sophomore Jace Bax finished tied for 46th, ending with 257 targets. Bax was fifth in sporting on the green course with 92 targets.
Senior Hayden Thomason was 60th with 252 targets and freshman Davis Davenport was 78th with 246 targets. Freshman Sean McCarty placed 90th with 238 targets, while junior Jake Royal finished 118th with 217 targets.
In the Women's HOA Individual, junior Katrice Lyons was 15th with 242 targets, finishing fourth in sporting on the green course with 86 targets and 10th in super sporting with 86 targets. Freshman Abbie Blackwell was 21st with 233 targets. Junior Hannah Sears was 32nd with 212 targets.
Up next, the Broncos will head to Lenexa, KS on Mar. 7 and 8 to compete in the inaugural Heart Shotgun Sports Championship
