Shotgun Sports Places 2nd at Cowboy Shootout
Oklahoma City, OK - The Hastings College shotgun sports team was back in action this past weekend as the Broncos finished second with a total score of 1608 while Drury won the team event with a score of 1620.
Oklahoma City, OK - The Hastings College shotgun sports team was back in action this past weekend as the Broncos finished second with a total score of 1608 while Drury won the team event with a score of 1620.
The team started the weekend off strong with a good performance in 5-Stand ending 2nd in the event with a team score of 424
They continued into trap were we also finished tied for 2nd with a team score of 486 tied with Western Oklahoma.
From here the long day and heat started to wear on everyone. Skeet was a bit of a struggle with its performance shooting a 472 and ended the event 3rd. Then the next day with the wind coming up shooting doubles trap the team ended the weekend shooting a 426 and ended 4th in that event.
Overall the team finished 2nd HOA with a team score of 1608/ 1750 losing to Drury who shot a 1620
We had some Awesome Individual shooter scores as Tanner Dager ended the shoot tied for 2nd HOA male shooting a 324/350. He was also Male Skeet Champion with a 98
Ty Parsons after a shoot off for Male Trap Champion lost to finish 2nd with a 99.
Hastings will be back in action Mar. 9-10 taking part in the Tiger Invite set to begin Saturday at 10:00 am in Lincoln, NE.
