Men's Bowling Finishes 16th at ITC

In the singles competition, sophomore Kaden Kuusela had the best score for the Broncos, placing 18th with a pin count of 1338 and an average of 223 in the six games, including a 243 in game three and 264 in game five. Freshman Jimmie Bradley took 29th with a total of 1292 in six games to average 215.3, as he bowled a 234 in game one and 248 in game four.
Senior Nathan Stinemates placed 48th with 1255 in six games for a 209.2 average. Sophomore Anthony Morella finished 72nd with a total of 1220 and an average of 203.3 in his six games. Senior Brandon Engels took 92nd with a total of 1195 pins and an average of 199.2 in his six games. Freshman Colin Jaster was right behind at 93rd with 1194 total pins for a six-game average of 199.
Junior Tyler Call placed 129th with a total of 1119 and an average of 186.5 in his six games, while freshman Alec Sundberg was 166th with a six-game total of 1026 to average 171. Freshman Bladyn Hogan finished 175th with a total of 990 and an average of 165 in six games.
In the team competition, Hastings bowled a 3057 through the first 16 to sit in 16th place out of 19 teams. They were just short of that mark in the next 16 games at 3020, which was still 11th best among the teams, moving them up to 15th overall at 6077 pins on Saturday.
On Sunday, the third round was Hastings' best of the competition, with 10 of their 16 games being 200 or higher. Their score of 3159 was ninth best among the teams in the block, bringing them to 11th overall with a pin count of 9236. Their 2831 score in the fourth block put them at 16th for the Championships, finishing with 12067 pins.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the NAIA National Championships on Mar. 21-22 in Sterling Heights, MI after receiving an at-large bid.
