Men's Bowling Finishes 3rd on Saturday, 2nd on Sunday at Morningside
(Sioux City, IA) – After a couple weeks off, the Broncos traveled to Sioux City, IA to bowl in the Morningside Invite. They finished third out of 11 teams on Saturday, then qualified third for the bracket on Sunday. In a four-game total pinfall match against the top four teams, Hastings finished second.

On Saturday, sophomore Kaden Kuusela performed the best of the Broncos, placing sixth with a pin count of 1057 and an average of 211.4 in the five rounds. His best game came in the fourth when he knocked over 236 pins. Sophomore Anthony Morella finished 18th on Saturday with a total of 960 and an average of 192 in his five games, including a second game score of 239.
Senior Brandon Engels finished 49th with a total of 792 pins and an average of 198 in his four games on Saturday. Sophomore Trevor Seeley tied for 63rd with a total of 721 pins and an average of 180.25 in the four rounds on Saturday. Freshman Bladyn Hogan placed 77th with a total of 563 and an average of 187.67 in his three games on Saturday.
Senior Nathan Stinemates took 98th with a total of 374 and an average of 187 in his two games, while junior Tyler Call placed 104th with a total of 330 and an average of 165 in his two games on Saturday.
On Sunday, freshman Colin Jaster took sixth with a pin count of 224 and Kuusela was 16th with 209 total pins. Morella was 21st with a pin count of 192, Engels followed them up at 27 with a score of 185, while Stinemates was 35th with a count of 177.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the Glenn Carlson Invitational in Las Vegas, NV on December 18-19.
