Northwestern defeats Hastings 45-6
Hastings, NE - The Hastings College Football Team found it tough to move the ball against a stout Northwestern squad as the Broncos dropped their third straight game 45-6 on Saturday.
The Broncos once again did not make things easy on themselves as Northwestern blocked a punt that led to a touchdown and then Keenan Ballage fumbled on Hastings' next possession leading to another Red Raider touchdown. From this point on even when Hastings would move the ball, they could only manage a couple of field goals.
Northwestern QB Davis Bloemendaal went 18-27 for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns. When all things were said and done in the first quarter, Northwestern had a commanding 21-3 lead and would never look back.
The Broncos had trouble securing the ball all game long as they committed four turnovers. Couple that with the in ability to finish drives led to the huge deficit and the loss.
Hastings drops to 6-3 (5-3) and will finish off their season as they will host Nebraska Wesleyan next Saturday November 10 with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
