Women's Cross Country Places 10th at Augustana Twilight
Sioux Falls, SD - The Hastings College women's cross country team had a solid outing finishing 10th out of 27 teams on Friday night.
But the story of the night came from Shania Santos (FR/Marana, AZ) who was Hastings' top finisher had to run most of the race without a shoe. She finished in 37th place in a time of 19:17. Veronica Pinkerton (SO/Beatrice, NE) finshed 55th in a time of 19:39 while Jilee Golus (FR/Bismark, ND) was right on her heels finishing 57th in a time of 19:40.
Madison Gerken (SO/McCool Junction, NE) placed 79th in a time of 20:00 while Landry Hinkson (SO/Cottonwood Falls, KS) rounded out the top five finishing 180th in a time of 21:48. Elizabeth Baade (SO/Highlands Ranch, CO) right behind her in in 185th place in a time of 21:51.
Hastings will now turn its attention to its home meet on Saturday Sept. 11 hosting the Bronco Stampede at 10:00 am at Hastings Lake.
