Results from the Central Nebraska Challenge
Kearney, NE – The Hastings College women’s track and field team was in action this past week as they co-hosted the Central Nebraska Challenge with the University of Nebraska-Kearney and here are the results.
Kearney, NE – The Hastings College women's track and field team was in action this past week as they co-hosted the Central Nebraska Challenge with the University of Nebraska-Kearney and here are the results.
In the 5000m racewalk, Tristyn DiPentino claimed the silver medal by finishing in a time of 30:06 while Baylee Evarts finished with the bronze in a time of 31:35.
Jaida Rowe would finished in third in the 100m hurdles in a time of 15.20 while Rhys Maxey finished in eighth in a time of 16.01. Maxey would later finish in third place in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:07. Rowe would finish in fifth place in a time of 1:08.
In the discus throw, Kiara Anderson brought home the silver medal with a mark of 45.00m. Jessa Eden went on to finish sixth with a mark of 42.00m. Anderson would then take sixth place in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.53m while Eden finished seventh with a toss of 49.18m. Anderson would also compete in the shot put with a mark of 13.01m which was good enough for sixth place while Asia Tyler would finished fifth in the open shot put with a mark of 12.32m.
In the women's triple jump, Trinity Doublin finished fourth in a leap of 10.84m.
Veronica Pinkerton finished sixth in the 1500m run in a time of 4:50. Pinkerton would finish seventh in the 400m run in a time of 58.87.
Hastings will now turn its attention to the KT Woodman Classic on Apr. 7-8 down in Wichita, KS
