Women's Cross Country Places 3rd at GPAC; Pinkerton Earns 4th Time All-Conference Honors
North Sioux City, SD – The Hastings College women’s cross country team did what it set out to do and that was find a way to finish third at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship and the Lady Harriers did just that by edging out Doane and Morningside. Dordt went on to win the championship.

Dordt went on to win the championship.
Veronica Pinkerton led the way by finishing 11th in a time of 22:28 which earned her all-conference honors. Pinkerton earned all-conference honors all four years of her career. She also picked up an automatic qualifying mark for nationals which she has competed in all four years as well.
Madison Gerken finished 16th in a time of 22:34 which also earned her a spot at nationals for the fourth time in her career as well.
Jilee Golus placed 34th in a time of 23:45 while Elizabeth Baade came in 39th in a time of 23:54.
It was Cynthia Chaparro Belloc placing 48th that pushed Hastings into the third spot with her time of 24:35.
Hastings will now have to see how the rankings play out to see if they will receive an at-large bid to nationals. The rankings will be out on Monday.
