Lady Harriers Finish 9th at Seminole Valley Stampede
Cedar Rapids, IA - The Hastings College women's cross country team had to make some late adjustments to its schedule but finally made the call to compete in the Seminole Valley Stampede where the women placed 9th out of 25 teams with an average time of 20:10. Huntington (IN) won the event with a team average of 18:38
Sam Crossett (SR/Sandpoint, ID) continues to shine for the Broncos as she finished 17th in a time of 19:00. Madison Gerken (FR/McCool Junction, NE) finished 34th in a time of 19:31.
Hannah Denson (FR/Omaha, NE) placed 62nd in a time of 20:19, Veronica Pinkerton (FR/Beatrice, NE) placed 68th in a time of 20:24 and Aleisha McDonald (JR/Tecumseh, NE) placed 117th in a time of 21:31.
Morningside placed just ahead of Hastings by finishing 8th but the Broncos have closed the gap with the Mustangs throughout the year and is now down to just seven seconds. Morningside finished with a team average of 20:03.
Hastings will be back in action Saturday Oct. 24 hitting the road to take part in the Mount Marty Invite held at the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, SD.
