Women's Cross Country Places 5th at Dordt
Sioux Center, IA - The Hastings College women's cross country team opened up the 2020 campaign by finishing fifth at the Dordt Sunflower Open on Saturday. This was the first action for athletics since March 14.
Sam Crossett (SR/Sandpoint, ID), after taking the last two seasons off was the highest finishing Lady Bronco placing ninth in a time of 18:48.
Madison Gerken (FR) placed 27th in a time of 19:51 which as a personal best. Hannah Denson (FR) placed 57th in a time of 21:16 which was also a personal best. Veronica Pinkerton (FR) finished 68th in a time of 21:37 which was a personal best while Elizabeth Baade (FR) finished 70th in a time of 21:42 and was also a personal best.
Hastings will be back in action Saturday Sept. 12 as the Lady Broncos will host the Bronco Stampede to be ran at Hastings Lake.
