Women's Wrestling Wins Dual Over Friends
Wichita, KS – The Hastings College women’s wrestling team won its first dual of the season defeating Friends 32-17 on Thursday night.

After dropping the first match at 116, Larissa Kaz was up next at 123 as she dominated Dayton Bowlin as she took her down right away rolling her over twice before getting another take down and this time finished her off with a pin at :46.
Friends came back to take the lead with a pin at 130, Tabitha Wood took the mat at 136 where she eventually picked up a pin fall victory at the 4:51 mark to put the Lady Broncos up 10-8.
Kaydince Turner added to the lead with a pin fall victory over Gianna Moreno at the 4:34 mark to go up 15-8 before dropping the next two matches.
The Falcons were open at 170, 101 and 109 and then earned a point each from Lily Gomez and Abby Beeck to win the match 32-17.
Hastings will be back in action Friday Nov. 18 heading down to compete in the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, MO.
