Four Individuals, 4x400 Take First at Bronco Invite
(Hastings, NE) – The Hastings College men’s track and field team hosted the Bronco Invite at the newly renovated Jack Osborne Tack Complex on Saturday.

In the 10000m run, senior Tatum Jelleberg took first place with a time of 34:12.66. In the 5000m race walk, junior Sam Wise also took a first place finish with a B-Standard time of 26:04.34.
In the 1500m run, freshman Parker Graves placed first with a time of 4:11.34. Freshman Evan Struss took second with 4:12.80. Also placing in the event was junior Deshawn Burks, who got fourth (4:16.01), and junior Derek Trompke, who got seventh with (4:47.06).
In the 800m run, junior Tyler Salter took first place with a time of 1:56.39 and freshman Tyler March placed 14th with 2:22.21. In the 4x400m run, Salter, Graves, Struss, and Burks placed first with a time of 3:28.33. In the 400m run, freshman Will Grable took fourth place with a time of 53.87 seconds.
In the triple jump, freshman Cody Defeo placed third with 12.83m. In the long jump, Defeo also placed fourth with a jump of 6.44m. Also placing in the event was freshman Rayne Chavez-Major with a 6.41m leap. In the high jump, junior Markus Vigil placed third with a jump of 1.76m.
In the javelin throw, senior Evan Morara took third with a throw of 50.85m. Junior Edward Pallotto placed fourth with 50.50m. Freshman Rafer Severson took 11th (37.37m), Vigil placed 12th (35.05m), and sophomore Tanner-James Friend placed 13th (31.20m).
Morara also placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 44.50. Freshman Jorge Vazquez took sixth with 44.29. Sophomore Titus Glanz took 11th (40.64m) and Severson placed 13th (28.98m).
Placing in the hammer throw was freshman Trey Parriott, who took third with a throw of 14.24m. Vazquez placed 8th with 12.94m. Morara took 10th with (12.54m) Glanz placed 12th (11.10m), and Severson placed 13th with 11.00m.
In the 400m hurdles, sophomore Zane Eggleston took fourth place with a time of 57.93. In the 200m, sophomore Noah Hudnall placed fifth with a 23.07 second run.
In the 100m run, Chavez-Major took fourth with a time of 11.02. Severson placed fifth with a 11.03 run and Hudnall took sixth with 11.04. Freshman Adrian Lobeda placed 11th (11.35) and Friend took 12th place with an 11.43 second run.
In the shot put, senior Payton Lane placed eighth with a throw of 44.65m. Pallotto placed 14th (40.06m), Parriott took 15th (39.63m), and Glanz placed 18th (37.28m).
Next, the Broncos head to Crete, NE to compete at day one of the John Green Combined Events on April 16th at 2:00pm.
