Creech and Wise Post B-Standard Performances at Concordia Invite

Senior Brady Creech posted a B-Standard mark in the high jump, clearing 6'08.00" to defeat Doane by two inches and claim first place. Junior Sam Wise posted his third B-Standard performance in the 3000m race walk by taking third with a time of 15:49.03.
Junior Tyler Salter won the mile race by about two seconds over Kansas Wesleyan, finishing with a time of 4:24.75. In the 600m, junior Deshawn Burks dominated and raced his way to a first place win with a time of 1:24.80.
Freshman Parker Graves posted a sixth place finish in the 1000m with a time of 2:39.61. In the 400m, sophomore Zane Eggleston took seventh (52.23) and freshman Tyler March placed 14th (58.65). Junior Derek Trompke also placed 15th (1:34.97) in the 800m race.
In the 200m, sophomore Noah Hudnall finished sixth (23.47), Salter was 11th (24.08), and freshman Adrian Lobeda was 15th (24.24).
Severson also took part in the pole vault, with a top attempt of 13'01.50" to take seventh place. In the long jump, freshman Cody Defeo was ninth (20'07.25"), Severson took 10th (20'07.00"), and junior Chance Elwood placed 19th (20'06.50").
In the weight throw, senior Payton Lane was ninth with a throw of 51'00.25" and freshman Trey Parriott took 19th (42'11.50"). Junior Edward Pallotto placed 23rd with a throw of 41'03.25".
Senior Evan Morara was the top placer for the Broncos at tenth in the shot put with a throw of 46'10.25". Freshman Jorge Vazquez was 14th (44'06.75") and Parriott finished 18th (43'02.25") in the event.
Up next, Hastings will travel to Mitchell, SD to compete at the GPAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 14-15, beginning at 1pm on Friday.
