Men's Tennis Falls to Colorado Mesa
(Kearney, NE) – The men’s tennis team played Division II Colorado Mesa University in Kearney on Friday, where they lost 7-0.

The Mavericks took the doubles point by winning all three matches without dropping a game to take a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard.
Senior Nick Smeltzer had the most success of anyone in the singles matches, winning four total games in his 6-2, 6-2 loss at two singles. Freshman Ben Hafer won two games at four singles in his 6-0, 6-2.
Colorado Mesa won at one, three, five, and six singles by losing just two games combined to claim the 7-0 win.
Up next, Hastings will play Tabor in a rescheduled match from earlier in the week on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 2pm.
