2022-2023 - Earned GPAC Track Field Athlete of the Week for her performance on Dec. 9 and again on Jan. 7. She went on to earn NAIA National Track Athlete of the Week for her Jan. 7 performance.
Thomas of Hastings College is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Thomas, a junior, from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, won the 60m hurdles at the UNK Pre-Holiday Classic with an NAIA "A" standard time of 8.86. That time currently leads the GPAC and is 10th in the NAIA. Thomas went on the win the 200m dash in a time of 25.88 (25.23 converted time). That was a NAIA "B" standard time and currently leads the GPAC and is sixth in the NAIA.
Thomas of Hastings College is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Thomas, a junior, from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, won both of her events Saturday at Doane's Ward Haylett Invite. She began by winning the 60m hurdles in an "A" standard automatic national qualifying time of 8.95 seconds. She went on to win the 200m dash in a time of 26.16 seconds. Nisa currently leads the GPAC in both events and ranks tenth in the NAIA in the 60m hurdles.
